Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge for a kitchen design?
    We do not.  We can send a professional kitchen designer to your home (or job site) to
measure and we can actually design your kitchen on site using a laptop in a lot of cases. 
The design will remain our property, however... but there is no charge to you for this service.

Can I change my design?
    Of course you can change your design... but you will be limited to a reasonable number of
revisions.

What is the lead time?
    Lead time depends on the line of cabinet selected.  Some brands can ship to you within 5 days,
others are up to about 4 weeks. 

Are the cabinet sizes flexible?
    We have the ability, depending on the line of cabinets you select, to be very flexible with
sizing and design of a cabinet or door.  For the rare instances where you require full custom,
our 25,000 s.f. Malden, MA facility can built anything you desire with the experience of
30 plus years behind us.

Do I need to hire a contractor?   
    Most people will hire a contractor to do the demolition of the existing, patching any walls
and preparing the area for the new cabinets.  We can install the new cabinetry.  We do not
do electrical work, we do not move or install appliances, we do not do plumbing or flooring.
Most of the time a contractor will coordinate the installation of the cabinetry with any
electrical, plumbing, wall or condition work that will need to be done.  We can recommend
a few contractors that we have worked with if you don't have anybody.

How long from start to finish?
    Once we have your layout signed off, we will order cabinets.  Within a day we will have a
delivery date ranging from 2-5 weeks.  When the cabinets are delivered, installation is
typically a day or two depending on the size and complexity of the project.  If you are
ordering granite tops, our granite team will template the day after the cabinets are put in.
From that point, your new granite tops are manufactured and installed within 1-2 weeks.

What are the payment terms?
    When you place your order, we take a 50% deposit.  The balance of the project will be due
prior to delivery.  We accept credit card payment, certified check or cash.

Where do you deliver?
    We will deliver and install within the New England area, however we do not limit ourselves
to any specific region.
